On the heels of our site visit, here are a couple resources for what is really happening at and around our site in the coming years. When we visited the site, we found this notice posted:
Through a little bit of searching on the SF Planning Commission website, I found the project proposal submitted to the Planning Commission (PDF). It’s 214 pages with a lot of extraneous information, but there are some good bits in there about the site, and some site analysis and drawings by the architect, Woods Bagot. It’s worth mentioning that while Woods Bagot is a great firm and their proposal for our site may provide some valuable lessons, WE CAN DO SO MUCH BETTER! We are not limited by so many of the pressures and constraints that WB faces.
Also, you should check out the proposal for Pier 70 by developer Forest City, and Crane Cove Park by megafirm AECOM. This neighborhood is going to be hoppin’.
